how can I get VOIP?
three quick steps to getting VOIP:
- Choose an eligible broadband plan
- Select the equipment you need
- Sign up today or upgrade if you're an existing customer
1. eligible plans
To be eligible for VOIP, you need a current (still available for sale) iiNet broadband plan with speeds of 512kbps and above.
This means you can combine VOIP with any current broadband plan on our network (up to 24,000kbps) and any current plan off our network (up to 1500kbps) except for the First Timer - Budget and First Timer - Basic broadband1 plans.
You can view our current range of broadband plans here. You can upgrade your broadband plan to a current one at any stage through toolbox.
2. equipment
To use VOIP, you need either:
- a VOIP enabled modem/router
- or an VOIP Adapter (ATA)
For information on VOIP equipment, see the previous page. You can purchase a VOIP compatible modem/router during our sign up process.
3. sign up
If you're new to iiNet, you can choose VOIP during broadband sign up available here or by calling us on 13 19 17 .
If you're an existing customer and you'd like to add VOIP to your broadband service, you can do this at any time through toolbox.
Please note: ADSL broadband and VOIP still requires you to have a regular landline in your home. Our regular home phone service, Phone 1 , offers competitive line rental and great rates on local, national, international and calls to mobiles.
